WitB attempts to operate this website and collaborative wiki with as little information required from the user as possible. We can only store information you give us. However, please note that as an internet user, you may broadcast information about yourself that you are not aware of, such as:
- Operating system version.
- Browser client.
- IP address.
- Versions of browser plug-ins.
All websites hosted wherever receive this information about you.
[edit] This Wiki's Use of Your Information
This wiki will only save information about you whenever you make edits. This is an act by you, no one can force you to make edits against your will.
- Articles: Any article text you submit to this wiki can be read by anyone with an internet connection. Do not submit private information in any form this way.
- Anonymous usage: If you submit content without logging in, your IP address will be logged to help us prevent malicious usage. This address will not be used to contact you, but be aware ANYONE CAN SEE IT.
- User login: If you create a wiki account to track your edits, your email used to sign up will not be divulged to regular users. However, we may use it to contact you regarding edits you make or to recover your password should you lose it. Any edits you make while logged in will be tracked under your user name instead of your IP.
[edit] Cookies Stored on Your Computer
The wiki will set a temporary session cookie (PHPSESSID) whenever you visit the site. If you do not intend to ever log in, you may deny this cookie, but you cannot log in without it. It will be deleted when you close your browser session.
More cookies may be set when you log in, to avoid typing in your user name (or optionally password) on your next visit. These last up to 30 days. You may clear these cookies after use if you are using a public machine and don't wish to expose your username to future users of the machine. (If so, clear the browser cache as well.)

As always, please practice the same rules you set for yourself to protect your information on all other websites as well as this one. This includes choosing a strong password for your account and using your common sense when interacting with the site.
